Ministry Newsletter
Dear Christian Friends,

Happy
Holidays from Norman and Debbie Stevens! Thank you for your prayers and
financial support. Knowing God's people care makes a big difference and helps
to encourage us.
Our meetings have gone well for us in 2008. We praise the Lord for the
opportunity to minister in the local churches across the United States. God has
been good to give us souls for our labor and a good work in the hearts of His
people. We are thankful for all that He has done.
We are called to be faithful, and we look forward to see what the year 2009 will
bring. It is our prayer that God would do even more in our ministry than He did
in the previous year. We look forward to the future blessings that God Almighty
has for us.
God's people were encouraged during the meetings with Pastor Joe Davis at Cross
and Crown Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.
We had good meetings with Pastor Charlie Gilbert at Sophia Baptist Church in
Sophia, West Virginia.
Pastor Paul Stephens was encouraged with the week of meetings held at Victory
Baptist Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. We believe that, during the meetings, a
good number of God's people made some type of decision to have a closer walk
with the LORD!
Our meetings with Brother Lee Helms at First Baptist Church of Seymour in
Seymour, Wisconsin, went well. The preaching of the Word of God encouraged
God's people.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2008, I had a great time with Pastor Mark Poorman at
Woodcrest Baptist Church in Fridley, Minnesota. I was able to preach God's Word
with liberty.
We had a great week with Pastor John Henderson and Pastor Michael Montie at
Radisson Road Baptist Church in Ham Lake, Minnesota. They were happy to have us
there, and God's people were encouraged.
We are doing fine. Debbie is having difficulty with her back as well as some
problems from her recent gall bladder surgery but she continues to improve so
don't let up in your prayers for her. Lord willing, she will be traveling with
me full-time next year in the ministry.
The meetings were well-attended with Pastor David White at Bryant
Avenue Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. God's people made good
decisions during the week. I was blessed by the love expressed to me by God's
people.
Pastor Scott Buhrow and the folks at Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg,
Wisconsin, were faithful and responded well to the preaching of God's Word.
Many decisions were made during the five-day meetings.
The meetings were successful with Pastor Keith Webster at Smithville Bible
Church in Hanna City, Illinois. The meetings were well attended by God's
people. It was a time of spiritual growth and life-changing decisions were
made.
Souls need to be saved and God's people need to be revived. So pray with us
that souls be saved and for God's people to be revived in our meetings. Please
pray for safety in our travels, for Debbie's back to get better, and that we
bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ as we seek to serve Him.
I had excellent meetings with Pastor Roland Mills at Shalom Baptist
Church in Buffalo, New York. I challenged God's people with this thought: Is
God Enough? Many decisions were made. God's people responded well to the
preaching of His Word. We had several come forward during the meetings to get
assurance of his or her salvation. We had one young man by the name of Liam
receive Christ as his Saviour at the meetings too.
I enjoyed the meetings with Pastor Wayne Moore at Liberty Baptist Church in
Lincolnton, North Carolina. It was a joy to worship the Lord together with
these dear folks.
It was evident that God was working in the meetings with Pastor David Baughan at
Old Kanawha Baptist Church in Pratt, West Virginia. Life-altering decisions
were made by all that came.
Thank you again for your prayers, concern, encouragement, and financial
support. God bless you as you seek to serve Him.
It is our prayer that you will have a great holiday season and that next
year will be one of your best years in your service for Christ.
His
servants,
Norman & Debbie Stevens
