Thank you so very much for your interest in our ministry and for
your support and intercessory prayers. We thank God upon every
remembrance of you and pray He is strengthening you. We love you
and count it a privilege to share this news with you as we serve
together for Christ’s cause.
Since our last Ministry Newsletter, the Lord had many special
blessings for us among the churches and dear friends with whom
we visited and ministered. God has been working in the lives of
men, women, boys, girls, and teenagers during our meetings. We are
seeing folks saved and God’s people making life-changing
decisions.
Please
pray for our meetings and ask God to give safety in travel and to
bless His Word and work during those meetings. Pray for souls to
be saved and for God to work in the hearts of His people.
Please accept our sincere thanks for those of you
who have prayed for Debbie because of her back. She seems to be
making better physical progress.
Seven came to know Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour
during the week of meetings with Pastor Jack Harvey at Tabernacle
Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas.
While on a recent stop to visit some folks in Illinois and say
hello, the pastor asked me to preach on a Wednesday night. We
received a $1735.00 love offering from the folks at Liberty
Baptist Church in Minier, Illinois; and I was not even scheduled
to preach! The money helped to pay off some doctors and hospital
bills. I have fully recovered from my visit to the emergency room
for kidney stones, and Debbie is trying to recover from her two
visits to the emergency room because of her back.
Pastor Chuck Bumgardner at East Park Baptist Church in Decatur,
Illinois, said the following about our meeting with him: “Hello,
all, we had Evangelist Norman Stevens at our church a week and a
half ago. This was my first introduction to his ministry, and he
preached during Sunday school and the evening service. Brother
Stevens is 45, married, and a graduate of Ambassador Baptist
College in Lattimore, North Carolina. His preaching style is quite
reminiscent of Dr. Ron Comfort, the college's president. It is
marked by a passion for God and an extensive use of memorized
Scripture. He preached on 'The Spiritual Man' and on prayer while
he was at our church.
Since Brother Stevens was saved later in life (at
age 30, as I recall), he has not been out in evangelism long. As
most of his meetings come from word of mouth at this point, I
wanted to recommend him to you. This recommendation does not come
at his request, just my desire to let you know. You may visit his
website at www.evangelistnormanstevens.com and you may contact him
directly at 813.760.4028, or via e-mail at nrsevangelist@earthlink.net.
Grace and peace, Chuck Bumgardner”
We
were with Pastor Don Adams at Grace Baptist Church in Brodhead,
Wisconsin. God's people responded well to the preaching of His
Word, and we had a young woman come forward to receive Christ as
her Saviour that Friday night during the meetings.
Our meetings went well with Pastor Rick Rogers at Calvary Baptist
Church in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. The number of folks that came to
the meetings grew from Wednesday night through Friday night and
dropped off on Saturday. However, on Sunday we had a high
attendance. God’s people responded well to the preaching of His
Word. Many decisions were made through the week. We had a woman
come forward during the meetings to get assurance of her
salvation.
Our week of meetings went well with Pastor Ronald Tobin at Tomah
Baptist Church in Tomah, Wisconsin. God’s people responded well to
His Word.
It
is our prayer that you will enjoy God’s rich blessings on your
life, your family, and your service for Christ throughout the
Christmas season and the New Year. Do not forget, Christ died for
you; and living for Him is the least you can do.

De Pere, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, October 30, 2002. We had a great

Baptist Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Though no professions of
faith in Christ were made, we had several of God’s people make
life-changing decisions.
We
were at Calvary Baptist Church in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. We visited
with God’s people and had good food and sweet fellowship with
them. Pastor James Grosse was out of town during the visit.
We
are making plans to go to Chile, South America. We will be there
for two weeks holding meetings with Pastor Tom Robertson and his
family. It is our hope to be a blessing to these dear
missionaries. Lord willing, we will be leaving the United States
on Saturday, November 1, 2003, flying to Chile. Please pray as we
seek to get our passports and plane tickets, and make all the
necessary arrangements for this trip. Thank you!
Wednesday, November 13, 2002, we were with Pastor Arnold Fair at

friends.
Sunday, November 24, 2002, we were with Pastor Myron Young at
Olive Branch Baptist Church in Linton, Indiana. The pastor was
greatly encouraged by the young peoples’ response to the message
on “The Crucified Life”.
