It is time for another update. We
are pleased to report that God is answering your prayers for us to see souls
saved, see God's people revived, keep us humble, and have safety as we travel.
Debbie is able to travel with me some of the time and because of that we are
able to enjoy the fellowship of traveling and praying together. Praise the
LORD!
Please continue to pray that
Debbie's back pain will diminish more and more as time goes on and that her
headaches will go away completely. It is our prayer that Debbie will be able to
travel with me full time next year.
Thank you so very much for your
intercessory prayers, financial support and concern for us. We thank God for
you and pray He is blessing you.
The Lord has been blessing us this
year in the ministry. God has given us good meetings. We have been able to see
souls saved and many of God's people surrender their lives completely to Jesus
Christ.
Pastor Tim Shivler was encouraged
with the week of meetings held at Mountain Valley Bible Church in Berlin,
Pennsylvania. We believe that, during the meetings, a good number of God's
people made some type of decision to have a close walk with Jesus Christ.
The four days of meetings went
well with Pastor Vince Kobosh at Rock Lake Baptist Church in Lake Mills,
Wisconsin. No one came forward to receive the Lord as their Saviour. However, we
had several of God's people make decisions to do right and live for the Lord
Jesus Christ.
We had a great time as we
worshiped the Lord together with Pastor Fred Fowler and God's people at Pioneer
Baptist Church in Asotin, Washington. God's people were blessed and encouraged
by the preaching of His Word.
The meetings went well with Pastor
Steve Haddock at Little Baptist Church in Pendleton, Oregon. God's people
responded well to the preaching of His Word. We had a lady and a man receive
Christ as their Saviour.
Pastor Steve Haddock said the
following about our meetings with him: "Dear Brother Stevens, It has been a
great week with our Lord. I appreciate your faithful service to Him. I know the
church was blessed and we already miss you and your fellowship. You will be in
our hearts and prayers and I can't wait until our Lord gathers all of us up to
spend eternity together."
All-day Sunday, I was with Pastor
Gil Hansen at Mount View Baptist Temple in Tualatin, Oregon. They were happy to
have me there.
I had a great week with Pastor
Thoren Sode and God's people at Berean Baptist Church in Dallas, Oregon. They
were happy to have me there to preach God's Word. We had two girls saved during
the meetings, and God's people were encouraged.
The eight days of meetings went
well with Pastor James Turner at Bay Community Baptist Church in Blaine,
Washington. I had a great time with God's people. They were happy to have me
there too. When the Word of God was preached, they were blessed and challenged
by it. On Friday night, we had one man and one young girl receive Christ as
their Saviour.
I was with Pastor Sinclair Rowe at
Bible Baptist Church in Hopewell, Virginia, on Sunday, June 29, 2008. No one
came forward to be saved, but God's people responded well to the messages
preached that day.
God's people were blessed by the
Word of God being preached during the Wednesday night meeting with Pastor
Charlie Scott at South Charlotte Baptist Church in Pineville, North Carolina.
Souls need to be saved and God's
people need to be revived. So pray with us that souls be saved and for God's
people to be revived in our meetings. Please pray for safety in our travels,
for Debbie’s back to get better, and that we bring glory and honor to Jesus
Christ as we seek to serve Him.
Our all-day Sunday meeting with
Pastor Norm Johnston went well. When the Word of God was preached, God's people
were blessed and encouraged by it.
We had a great time with our home
church at Family Camp this year. The preaching by Evangelist Ron Hood was just
what we needed. We were able to encourage God's people and they were an
encouragement to us as well.
The meetings went really well with
Pastor David Mims at Beth Haven Baptist Church in Denver, North Carolina. The
meetings were well attended and many of God's people made decisions.
On Wednesday, July 23, 2008, I had
a great time with Pastor Wayne Moore at Liberty Baptist Church in Lincolnton,
North Carolina. I was able to give words of encouragement to God's people. I
thank God for our dear friends.
I had a great time with Pastor
Willie Del at Mira Mesa Bible Baptist Church in San Diego, California. God did
a marvelous work among His people.
It was a joy to challenge Pastor
Gil De Rosas and God's people from God's Word during their Mission’s Conference
at Lighthouse Baptist Church in La Puente, California. It is our prayer that the
church will be fruitful and that the LORD will continue to work in the lives of
His people as they labor for Him.
We had a great time with Pastor
Melito Barrera at Berean Bible Baptist Church in Chula Vista, California. We
worshiped the Lord together during their 21st Annual Mission's Conference. One
lady during the conference received Christ as her personal Saviour.
