Ministry Newsletter
Dear Christian Friends,
Greetings
in the blessed name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We want to
thank all of God's people for making it possible for us to spread the Gospel
and to disciple those that God sends our way in the ministry.
Thank you for
praying for us. We are blessed to have people like you who remember us in
prayers and in financial support. Indeed, we have felt your love.
Debbie is
doing okay. However, she is still struggling with her chronic back pain and
other health issues that prevent her from traveling with me full-time.
Lately, she has been plagued with headaches. Thanks
so very much for all your prayers and concern for her. We appreciate it so
much.
We praise the LORD for His
goodness to us. Things are going
well for us, and we count it a privilege to share with you this update as we
serve together for Christ's cause. Norman has been in several churches
already this year. People are responding well to the preaching of God's Word.
It is always a special
blessing to see how well people respond to Norman when we are in a church we
have not been to before. The preaching of God's Word is the main thing and if
he can make a connection with the people, it seems to make a big difference.
It seems Norman has been able to do so at most places.
Continue to pray that we see
people get saved. Please pray with us that this would be the year for a
sweeping revival among God's people that would bring honor and glory to
Christ.
The meetings were successful
with Pastor Kevin Senn at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, North
Carolina. They were well-attended by God's people. It was a time of
spiritual growth.
We had good meetings with
Pastor Harold Blankenship at Promised Land Baptist Church in Gastonia, North
Carolina. Though no professions of faith in Christ were made, we had several
of God's people make decisions.
God's people were encouraged
during the Wednesday night meeting with Pastor David Goforth at Providence
Baptist Church in Riverview, Florida.
The meetings went well with
Pastor Elmer Cox at First Baptist Church in Morris, Minnesota. God's people
were excited about the meetings. They responded well to the preaching of
God's Word; and as a result of that, there were life-changing decisions. We
had a six-year-old boy come forward during the invitation to receive Christ as
his personal Saviour. He got saved. Praise the Lord! Pray for Zack's
spiritual growth as a brand new Christian.
There is also other exciting
news. We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary in March for which we praise
the Lord. We are both very happy to be together serving the Lord.
God has done a work of grace
in the lives of many here at Trinity Church in Clinton, Indiana, with Pastor
James Haught. It was evident that God was working in the meetings.
Life-altering decisions were made by all that came.
Pastor David Smith was
encouraged with the week of meetings held at Ladysmith Baptist Church in
Ladysmith, Wisconsin. We believe that, during the meetings, a good number of
God's people made some type of decision to have a closer walk with the Lord
Jesus Christ!
We praise God for all the
great things that He did here at our meetings with Pastor
Delbert Oatsvall at First Baptist Church in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. They were
well-attended, and God's people made good decisions during the week. I was
blessed by the love expressed to me by all that came.
It was a tremendous blessing
to be with Pastor Clark Poorman at Grace Baptist Church in Waseca, Minnesota.
The meetings went well, and we had one man receive the Lord as Saviour, and
God's people made life-changing decisions.
Pastor's Comment
"I
did want you to know how much we appreciated your ministry with us. I very
seldom get quality pastor fellowship. I enjoyed talking and praying with you
so much. I appreciated your one-on-one people ministry as well as your
Scripture-soaked, spirit-filled messages. Thank you for the kind notes that
you send to people. It speaks volumes to them."
Pastor's Comment
"Last
night's sermon was a classic that had to greatly help those who were able to
be here to hear it. Evangelist Stevens took his Bible text from II
Corinthians 5:15 and pointed out that the purpose for which God saves the
sinner is to make it possible for them to honor and glorify God in their daily
life."
Please pray for more people
to be consistent in attending our meetings and for God to open the eyes of
people who have attended.
We greatly appreciate your
partnership in our ministry and would like to say thank you again for your
financial gifts and for your prayer support, which is very much appreciated.
Thank you for all your love and support.
May God bless all of you as
you seek to serve Him.
His servants,
Norman and Debbie Stevens
